this big backyard...

... and nothing to do in it. well, that's not completely true we run around, kick the ball and stare at each other. brandon and i want to get the girls a playhouse/swing set. well let's just go pick one up right? i'm thinking they're probably about $200 - wrong (at least for the kinds we want)! sometimes i can be so naive. more like $800, $900, $1,000. geez that's the business i need to be in. so we're not exactly going to be picking one up tomorrow, but it's on the top of our list to try to do, especially with spring right around the corner. nope it's not here yet, remember we're up here in the north 40 still freezing our butts off. we've got our fingers crossed that it will be here sooner rather than later!

the rose petal balls for allie's room (in progress)
saw this idea at homespun with heart.

i thought i would put a couple of the pictures i did have up for you to see what i am elbow deep in. this would be the one rose petal ball i've been working on for allie's room. this along with two other smaller ones that will be brown will hang from the ceiling with ribbon. can't wait for them to be finished but i'm not even seeing the light at the end of the tunnel at this point.

the rose petals i have to make. one by one. roll, twist, glue, roll, twist, glue...

madison loves her sister

above is a picture of the butterfly collage i made for the girls' bathroom!
idea found at house of smiths

i have it hanging in their bathroom, more pictures to come when everything is done.
you'll have to excuse the bad lighting in the pics below,
the basement at night is horrible for picture taking.

painted this shelf white for allie's room. brandon made it when he was a youngin'

will post pics of it in her room when it's finished

made this really easily with an empty frame i had and some scrapbook paper.

allie

and so it begins...
i can't keep her away from the stairs and it's making me so nervous.
i have a gate up most of the time though.

on the list to do today...

groceries (yuk, there really is nothing that i dread more)
thrift store (fun but not when it's after getting groceries)
michaels (returning something, frustrating-i hate it when things break in the middle of a project)
vacuum (the rest is kind of self explanatory)
dust
sweep
clean bathrooms
laundry (yes, again mounds of laundry)
finances (personal and business)
oh yeah and... finish. the. balls. uggggggggg

we'll just see how much i actually get done. what usually happens is i totally kid myself thinking i can actually do all of this in one day. i get one or two things done then i'm looking at the clock thinking "it has to be bed time for the girls now right". then everything gets pushed to the next day with a couple of more things that have come up that i need to do. so really this is just a revolving list that really never goes away. but i think it might be like this for others too, at least i hope and it's not just me:)

Thanks meagan! i've enjoyed everything for the most part. I know the styrofoam balls will look good it's just so hard to get motivated to finish the rest:) I did have a punch for the butterfly picture. I picked it up at Michaels. They had two but the other punch was really small and you couldn't fold them so they stick up a little. Can't wait to see pictures of the girls' birthday!
