we're home....

but i'm so tired... it's been such a fun couple of weeks!! like i said in my earlier post, we made it to colorado and had a lot of fun visiting with friends and catching up. the wired show went great too! we picked up my mom and dad from the airport on the 8th and they hung out with us in greeley for the weekend while brandon did the wired show. then on monday we all crammed into the truck and made the nine hour drive home. actually, as much as i think we were all dreading it, it wasn't bad at all! the kids were great, and it wasn't uncomfortable. at least i didn't think so:) hannah met us at the house about an hour after we got there monday night. she came up from boise and stayed through friday morning. we all really did have such a good time. i was so excited to show our house off for the first time! and for once, we actually had room for everyone, comfortably:) we played games, shopped, worked in the yard, and ate lots of yummy food! when i say worked in the yard, that really is an understatement! my dad did a ton of work for us while he was here. there were a couple of areas in the yard that needed some help from more than just one of us. he sure knocked them out and it looks great!!! he cleaned out under our aspen trees, trimmed limbs, cut down trees and took out a fence. brandon helped him finish up on saturday. they rented a chainsaw and went to town!! it looks so good now, i will have to take some pictures and get them up so you can see:) hannah left friday morning and we were sad to see her go! i'm going to miss her!

over the weekend we had to take allie into the er because she was running a fever of 104 degrees and was uncontrollably fussy but at the same time extremely lethargic. she also seemed short of breath. we were afraid it might be pneumonia. we spent most of saturday night until the wee hours of the morning in the hospital. they did a chest x-ray and a urinalysis to check for a uti. i hated her being so uncomfortable. being at the hospital is no fun. the catheter was no fun for her! it turns out that it is just a really bad virus and they had us continue to keep her on the tylenol and motrin alternating back and forth to keep her fever down. she's back to the normal sweet allie now and doing great. i hate it when they are sick.

my parents flew out on monday mid-day and there were tears. madison really did not want them to go. neither did i. i just hate that they are so far away from us, we had such a good time! miss y'all so much! the only thing i am bummed about is the fact that believe it or not... i didn't take hardly any pictures! can you believe that? i always take pictures! we were just having such a good time, i never stopped to pick up the camera and i really regret that!

brandon is gone for work this week so linda came up to stay with me and the girls and keep us company. i think we both just really needed to relax and do nothing. it's been nice. we've just been hanging out taking it easy. i'll try to get some pictures up soon but right now the bills are calling so until next time....
