Happy Easter!

we all slept in easter morning believe it or not! we ended up having to wake madison up to go look for easter eggs. the plan was for everyone to meet in the middle of the cul-de-sac at 8:00am for the hunt. so we got madison and allie up and dressed and pretty much headed out the door. madison was able to find her basket and grab a few eggs before we were out the door. for whatever reason madison was not a happy camper. she was really hard to get going this year, but eventually after the whining and crying she jumped in and found some eggs. so, funny story... "the easter bunny" put eggs all over our living room. there were some eggs that were just in the middle of the floor (empty) so that allie had something to look for too. so we told madison that the empty ones were for allie to leave them there for her to get. so, when we were outside and she found an egg she shook it to see if there was anything in it and if there wasn't she chucked it to the ground and refused to put it in her basket. not so sure we should have told her that earlier :-) oh well... anyway the hunt wrapped up pretty quickly and everyone dived in to their baskets to see what they had found. everyone met at a neighbors garage and had a pancake breakfast with homemade sausage, fruit, coffee and juice. it was really good and so nice to just sit out and visit while the kids went nuts on their sugar high. madison jumped on the trampoline f.o.r.e.v.e.r! we didn't know how she would like it, but she loved it!

after the easter egg hunt we went to some friends' house for lunch and had amazing honeybaked ham, with all the amazing fixings to go with it and finished up with some angel food cake! i think we all ate so much you could have rolled us out the door. madison had a good time playing with taylor and allie was just as content as could be hanging with us. it was a wonderful easter!!! to all those that we weren't able to be with, we missed you bunches and love you lots!!

allie loves the refrigerator. as soon as she hears it open she drops what she is doing and does the most impressive army crawl to the door. most of the time she crawls in and stands up inside. it's hilarious!!
