Day 14

Madison has not been wanting to take naps lately (ahhh) and Friday was one of those days!! I finally gave up after sending her back to her room time after time after time. She just wasn't going to go to sleep so I told her she could lay on her blanket and watch a movie but if she got up she would have to go to her room and take a nap. She did not move from that blanket and watched the Lion King (one of the all-time favs) all the way through without making a peep. It was so nice and allowed me to do what I needed to do while the girls nap.

Day 15
On Saturday James, Amy and Leila came down and we finalized all the details of our trip to Seattle!!!!!! We are so excited, we're leaving September 23rd and will be there until the 28th. We all love Seattle and have been itching to get back so we decided we would treat ourselves. We haven't taken a family vacation (Brandon, Me, Madison and Allie) without some other agenda in soooo long and it is much needed. It really helped that we had earned two free flights and only had to buy one ticket. Brandon gets points with Southwest when he travels with the company and had enough for two tickets as well as two free days for a rental car. So that's really going to help financially. It was a pretty good deal and we are all so excited to go.

Day 16

Today was the first Sunday of the NFL and we watched a lot of football in an effort to keep up with our fantasy games, it was wonderful! Since we had football on a lot of the time, this evening I let Madison watch a movie, Cars. I saw that it was on t.v. so I recorded it for her to watch. I've been wanting her to see it for quite a while and I was right, she loved it!!! Every time a commercial came on she yelled "mama, mama" and pointed to the t.v. wanting me to fast forward through the commercials:) I used this time to clean up, do some laundry and such...
I do have to say though, I am a little bummed that my Colts lost to Houston today. I really can't believe it, so sad... hopefully it's out of their system and will light a fire under their booties and get them going for the rest of the season!

Erin just watched Lion King for the 1st time today and she screamed and cried when Mufasa falls to his death. She kept asking me if Simba's Daddy was safe. Ah, the joys a parenting a sensitive little girl :) Glad y'all are getting ready for a fun trip! Its so nice to just get away. Hope y'all have a great time and that all your details come together for your family pic!
