Busy, Busy, Busy...

Wow, July huh? It's been a while I think:) I'm sitting here watching it snow and it's really apparent to me how long it has been since I've been on here, yikes! Well, I guess I will pick up where I left off. We've done A LOT but I'm not going to go into all of it, I'll just touch on the high points:)

We finished the summer camping a few times and had a blast. The girls really like camping!! Nothing better than sleeping outside, roasting marshmallow and playing in the water and dirt right?! Both of the girls took swimming lessons and did great!! Madison is in them so she can get used to the water and learn to swim. She came a long way this year with putting her head in the water and such. Allie is in swimming lessons because she has NO FEAR and scares the crud out of us because of it:) That girl needs to know how to swim so when she bails off into the pool without us she'll survive!

I talked in my last post about laying some sod on the West side of the house. Well, we did it and it looks amazing!! We didn't kill it either. The pocket book hurts a little from all the watering but "IT'S ALIVE!!"

I can't believe it but Madison started preschool this year. We didn't send her last year but decided it would be a good transition socially to kindergarten next year. Plus it gets her ready for a more structured schedule. The morning routine of waking up and getting dressed is still a bit rough for all of us but we'll get there. She is just doing Monday, Wednesday, Friday and I'm glad we did that as opposed to 5 days a week. She did great her first day! Me on the other hand... well, not so much. I held it together but I got choked up a bit. Allie and I get to have some one on one time together now and that has been so much fun!! I forgot how easy it is with one. Geez Louise, shopping, errands, the whole ball of wax... So. Much. Easier.....

We had been wanting to drive the Chief Joseph highway/Beartooth Pass since we moved here and the last time we tried it was still closed for the winter... in June:) This year though we went in early August and my goodness is that beautiful!! If you haven't done it, DO IT!! We saw some of the prettiest country. We took the whole day, packed a lunch and had a picnic by the lake. I'm so glad it worked out for us to go!!

In August I threw Hannah a bridal shower in Riverton at the Country Club. We had a really nice time, it was such a good turnout! Later that evening we all went to the demolition derby, which was a blast, the girls love it so much:)

Just a short month later we embarked on a 16 hr drive (one way) to Virginia City, Nevada for Hannah's wedding. We left the night of the 13th and Brandon drove the whole way. I was supposed to stay awake and be the "co-pilot" but I failed miserably on the job!! Poor guy!! The girls did AWESOME! They did not fuss one time going or coming back. Can you believe that?! They slept at night and when they were awake in the daytime they were so pleasant and happy. The wedding was beautiful! Hannah and Devin did a wonderful job with it:) It was so good to see all of our family. So many people made the trip and it was so nice!! I think everyone had a good time.

Since we were only an hour from Lake Tahoe after the wedding the four of us went there for a couple of days. It was GORGEOUS! We stayed on the north side of the lake in King's Beach, California. Our room was on the water, so we had a lakeside view. We drove the whole lake so we could see it all and decided that the South side was the prettiest in our eyes but the whole thing was breathtaking. We played some putt putt too while we were there. One of the days we took the Ms. Dixie II Cruise across the lake. It was about two hours round trip. It took us to Emerald Bay then back. Wow, talk about stunning! The water in the bay was just so, well... Emerald:) On our way home we stopped into one of the mountain resorts to take a peak and decided we will definitely have to go back in the winter I bet the lake is so pretty with snow covered mountains. Brandon also let me stop at Forever 21 and do some birthday shopping on our way thru Reno!! woot woot:) He's such a great guy, I think I'll keep him!!

Things are starting to slow down a little now. Last weekend we went to Thermopolis and stayed at the Hot Springs with Linda and Rocky while we were there for Brandon and Adrian's wedding. It was a beautiful wedding:)

I'm hoping now we can sit back and relax for a while AND watch some football. Brandon and I are both doing the usual fantasy football and having a ball with it (when we win) just kidding... maybe.  We have some family coming this month and of course MY BIRTHDAY!! I have a couple more years of being excited and then I think when I hit 30 I'll keep quiet, no need to remind myself I'm getting older right?!

Here are ALL of the pictures from the last several months, Enjoy!! They are in no particular order, that just takes too much time:)
