one down...

remember that snake i was talking about the other day? well, it won't be coming around anymore. we're pretty sure it was a bull snake. a few of the neighbors were over playing on the swing set and charlie (the dog) from a few houses over was there too. well..... all the sudden charlie went to town shaking his head like he was chewing on a rope. it's wasn't a rope, it was the snake. tore it in half and let's just say it's dead. we have seen another little water snake too but it was a little more of what i was picturing when they said we might see "a few" snakes. he was just a little guy and we think he was sunbathing on the patio. as soon as we headed out he took off, had no interest in us-which made me feel a whole heck of a lot better:) i think i'm just going to accept the fact that we're going to have them. i guess the good part of this situation is we won't have mice. i guess i would rather have snakes outside than mice inside. it's always a compromise isn't it:)
