First off, one-hour drive to the zoo, not bad
Get to the zoo and drive around for an hour trying to find somewhere to park
Give up, drive to a nearby (and by nearby I mean a couple of miles) neighborhood to park
Unload the two strollers
Change diapers
Walk several miles to the zoo
Arrive at the zoo
Eat lunch
Meander thru the hundreds of people that went to the free day at the zoo
Walk several miles back to the truck
Change diapers
Drive an hour back home
To those of you who may not have kids you may be thinking what's the big deal? Well, I just can't explain it, but I now appreciate the things (even if I may not remember them) that my parents did for us because I know how much work it is.
I say all that, but it was really good to get out and I always love spending time with Amy and Leila. They are such great company and I hope we can do it again. Next time we'll just know when to go and where to park:)
