flu, flu go away, DON'T come again another day...

** warning, the flu and all that comes with it talk** didn't flu season just start?? apparently it did in this house, i don't know how but we ALL FOUR have gone rounds with the flu already:( i wish it was like the chicken pox, once you get it your immune and done:) unfortunately not... allie started it, then i got sick, then brandon came home sick friday and was the worst of all us. i was thinking well at least madison is doing good... why. would. i. think. that? mistake #1. late friday night she got REALLY sick! and you know how it is with kids when they are sick, they don't know what's happening or when it's coming. what that translates to is mama doing laundry non-stop all weekend while she is sick too. i have never seen so much puke in my life! i mean i think i washed sheets three and four times over... exhausting. friday evening madison got sick in the kitchen, then allie thinks, hey let's play in it?!?!?! so... two girls in the tub they go. i finally got them both clean and in bed, then i hear "mama" i just freeze and think oh no.... yes madison got sick again in bed, so bath number two here we come. am i wearing you out yet? i was so nervous about leaving her alone while she was sick i let her sleep with me (brandon was downstairs in bed) mistake #2. well, low and behold she got sick in our bed too and i ended up sleeping with a pillow and no sheets. saturday morning i woke up and changed allie about 4 times in 30 minutes, that's changed diapers and outfits 4 times. great, more laundry:) madison woke up and got sick and all i could think was i have been up not even an hour and i've changed two sheets and 4 diapers, this is not shaping up to be the best day. anyway, we all hung out in the living room vegged on the couch, in front of the t.v. all day. the girls started to feel a little better and were playing around on the couch, mistake #3. well.... allie thought it would be funny to climb on the coffee table and jump to madison on the couch. madison went to catch her and fell forward and the first thing to hit was her mouth on the coffee table. folks... it was ugly and bloody. i saw way too many bodily functions that weekend. she almost bit thru her lip and she hit her top gums and messed them up a little too. geez oh pete. to make matters worse brandon had to leave sunday to go to texas and present for work. he was not feeling well and i felt so bad for him, me too though because i was about to be left alone with two ticking time bombs, god only knew what was going to happen next:) fortunately we all got to feeling better and we're on the mend now. **end of flu talk**

when brandon leaves i tend to do a lot of work around the house. i just know he plays the guessing game as his plane is descending into billings, what could she have possibly done now and am i going to be able to find my toothbrush? :) i don't sleep well when he leaves and end up just staying up. so this time, i rearranged our basement and i love it!! it was starting to feel a little cluttered and i wanted to make it flow a little better. so i moved some furniture and pictures around and i'm loving it!! the girls are too! that's about it for now, it's really feeling like fall here now, we played around outside today and it was actually a bit chilly.

ps-i was going to take our fall family pictures that weekend, yeah that didn't happen...

so we're outside playing today and the girls found a grasshopper (may he rest in peace). allie wouldn't leave him alone, she chased him everywhere and eventually just stepped on him, just like that!
