This past Thursday we went to Riverton so Brandon and Patrick could work on some business stuff and once they were done with that we headed to the lake with Rocky and Linda to camp out for the weekend. It was so much fun. Their snowmobile club that they are in has an annual camp out at Boysen Reservoir outside of Riverton. There were about 6 or so families there. Madison loved being on the boat and playing in the water and on the playground and the volleyball court and in the camper... yeah she loves it all. She takes after her mama (and daddy) and is such the little camper. She wants to be outside ALL the time. She loves sitting in front of the camp fire and making s'mores too!!
If I had it my way we would be camping every weekend in the summer and snowmobiling every weekend in the winter:) I've had to take a break from all of that for a little while since the girls have been so little. Allie isn't quite old enough for us to do the camping thing on our own (without a camper) yet. Next year though! She did good this weekend but it was hot and she did have to stay in the camper a lot, as did I. As far as snowmobiling, we'll probably have to sit that out this year as well (at least the girls and I). That's okay though they are worth it, but when it comes time that the girls can go with us, there will be no stopping us!!!!
Allie is still growing so quickly. She changes every day. She's now smiling a lot more and sometimes it turns into a little giggle if you listen real close:) She's such a good baby. Madison loves her to death. If we would let her she would drag her all over the place to play.
My next step on the voyage of potty training Madison is a gumball machine... yes you heard right, a gumball machine. She knows everything she needs to know about using the potty. She knows how to tell us, when to go, how to go, etc. She just won't do it, so I need a little incentive and she is always gravitating towards the gumball machines in the stores. So, I'm going to try and find one for the house and put skittles or m&ms, or something of the sort in it since she can't have gum and hopefully that will do the trick. Because I tell you what I am so tired of having to change her when she can go in the potty herself. There comes a point when it's like okay, you are way too big for me to be changing your diaper child:) I will, as usual let you know the outcome! Hopefully it's a good one, pleeeeaaaassseeee.....
OH-and I apologize for not posting any pictures of the trip, or for that matter taking any pictures. It was just so hot and dirty and we all had our hands full all the time so there was no time for taking pictures. I'm so bummed and I feel like a horrible mother but I hope to get better at this.
