Can you believe Allie is 6 weeks old now? We sure can't. It has gone by so quickly! She's growing into such a beautiful little baby girl. Her skin is still dark and she's still really long looking and has the bluest eyes. She's starting to smile at us now, it's the best thing ever when they start recognizing you. Allie had her first long trip this past weekend. We went to Riverton to visit Brandon's grandparents and had a great time. Allie did wonderful with the 5 hour drive too. She only got upset for about the last 20 minutes coming home. Other than that it was fantastic. Madison did good too, she watches her movie and then sleeps for the rest of the trip. She sure loves being a big sister. She's so attentive. Sometimes she can be a little rough but it's all out of love.
On Friday, we said goodbye to Jenny and Caroline, some of our good friends who moved to Virginia. It was sad but we know it's a good thing for them. I tried to get Madison to understand that she really needed to hug tight because this was a long goodbye and I don't think she understood:) That's okay, even though she still to this day talks about going and playing with Caroline.
Friday evening we left for Riverton, then spent Saturday morning/afternoon with Grandpa and Grandma Treese in Hudson. It was really good to visit with them. Saturday afternoon we got the sprinklers out for Madison to play in and she loved it. She was also very fascinated with the horses in the pasture next door. Later that evening we had s'mores over the fire and played cards. Before we left Sunday we had a bbq for Rocky, Jessica and Levi's birthdays since they are all in July. It was perfect except that Rocky had to leave since he got a run. All in all it was a wonderful weekend and we enjoyed every minute of it. It always goes by so quickly though.
